Author of thousands of songs, monologues and articles, reflecting the moods of Poles and Polish reality in the last half-century. The unquestionable leading commentator on the Polish social and political scene during the period when the Poles were breaking free from Communism. His patriotic song „Let Poland be Poland” became the spontaneous anthem of the Solidarity movement in the 1980\u2019s. \u201cPan Janek\u2019s\u201d sayings, choruses and \u201cmental shortcuts\u201d are remembered by millions of his fans. He introduced a new narrative style to cabaret, a style that later found many followers. He was called the „godfather” of cabaret. He was the patron of many talented people, whom he helped along the road to success and popularity. He also made powerful enemies who did not make his life easy. It is a fact, that a real satirist has to pay a high price for the courage to joke about inflated egos.<\/p>\nHe is the Founder of the \u201cPatriotic Society\u201d, in which initially \u201cReduta Dobrego Imenia\u201d found a formal organization framework. Author of thousands of songs, monologues and articles, reflecting the moods of Poles and Polish reality in the last half-century. The unquestionable leading commentator on the Polish social and political scene during the period when the Poles were breaking free from Communism. His patriotic song „Let Poland be Poland” became the spontaneous anthem of the Solidarity movement in the 1980\u2019s. \u201cPan Janek\u2019s\u201d sayings, choruses and \u201cmental shortcuts\u201d are remembered by millions of his fans. He introduced a new narrative style to cabaret, a style that later found many followers. He was called the „godfather” of cabaret. He was the patron of many talented people, whom he helped along the road to success and popularity. He also made powerful enemies who did not make his life easy. It is a fact, that a real satirist has to pay a high price for the courage to joke about inflated egos.<\/p>\n He is the Founder of the \u201cPatriotic Society\u201d, in which initially \u201cReduta Dobrego Imenia\u201d found a formal organization framework. In 1990 he was among the founders of the political party \u201cPorozumienie Centrum\u201d. In 1991 he was elected as a member of the Polish Parliament, from the list of the \u201cPorozumienie Centrum\u201d candidates. In 1993 he did not stand for re-election, and withdrew from the world of politics. He was the deputy editor-in-chief of the following newspapers: \u201cTygodnik Solidarno\u015b\u0107\u201d and \u201cExpress Wieczorny\u201d.<\/span>\n\nHe expertise are in the promotion and management of projects in the field of \u201celectronic\u201d society and digital education. He is the Vice President of the \"Cities in the Internet\" Association and the Chairman of the \"Coalition for the Development of the Information Society\".
