Today, “Reduta”, as a party in the case, has requested a written justification of the scandalous verdict in the case against Hans G.” Reduta” will appeal against this verdict, however, in order to successfully lodge a cassation, it is necessary to first apply for a written justification of the verdict to the Court of Appeal in Gdańsk. “Reduta” will covers the fees for the justification, because currently court justifications have to be paid for.
The past week was marked by a verdict in the Court of Appeal in an appeal hearing against a verdict in civil proceedings against Hans G.,who infringed the personal rights of his employees, including Natalia Nitek-Płażyńska, through words that can be considered as hate speech against Poles.
We would like to draw attention to the fact that, according to the verdict, Natalia Nitek-Płażyńska is to apologize to the German Hans G. for recording his statements. The apology is to be made public on two social media accounts for a whole month, in addition, Natalia Nitek-Płażyńska is to pay PLN 10,000 to the Charity “Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy”and cover court costs. The German who insulted Natalia Nitek-Płażyńska by saying that he was a Nazi and could shoot all Poles, is to send a letter of apology to Natalia Nitek-Płażyńska, but he does not have to apologize in public. The court said that recording the German when he was insulting Poles, was unworthy and that is why, Natalia Nitek-Płażyńska is to apologize to him.
In connection with the verdict of the Gdańsk Court of Appeal, we issued a statement in which we wrote, inter alia, that it is „a verdict which, in our opinion, violates the most elementary sense of justice” and „will have its consequences not only for Natalia Nitek, but for all those who are harassed, mobbed, offended, slandered or raped.
